Family
One of the greatest mercies God has extended to me has been the gift of a great family. I met my wife, Tonya, while we were both in college. If I remember correctly, it was after an intramural softball game when we really spoke for the first time. We were married in 1990 … young and in love.
We have two daughters: Hannah and Hope. We named our oldest daughter after the Hannah in the Bible — for we empathized with her patient longings for a child. Our prayer for Hope is that God will use her to bring his hope to the world.
Of course, our daughters are beautiful, talented, well-mannered, smart, funny, athletic, and all the rest. (I was just practicing for the day when we’ll become grandparents — a day we hope is long, long away).
