God is the reason why we worship. We gather together as believers to remember, celebrate, and honor who God is and what he has done. This is the starting point of worship – not styles, forms, preferences, or strategies. The Hebrew writer reminds his readers that as Christians they have been given new access to God through Jesus the mediator. As a result, we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken – an eternal, everlasting kingdom. Knowing this, we are to be thankful and worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.
